Within École Centrale de Nantes, the Research Laboratory for Hydrodynamics, Energy and the Atmospheric Environment (LHEEA) comprises 140 members divided into five research teams. The LHEEA is overseen by two governing bodies, École Centrale de Nantes (ECN) and the CNRS; it also collaborates with Centrale Innovation (CI), a subsidiary of ECN.

Job description:

As part of the “WavyWingSail” project, we are looking for a research engineer to carry out CFD calculations.

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

  • Setting up the simulation workflow to perform RANS simulations for the required configurations

  • Carrying out the simulations

  • Analysing the results

  • Coordinating the project

  • Drafting documents (progress reports, etc.)

  • Publishing scientific articles

Required qualifications: You must hold at least a Master’s degree and, ideally, a PhD in mechanical engineering, energy, aeronautics or mechanical engineering, and have a proven track record of successful experience in one of these fields.
