You will be working as part of the LS2N RoMaS team. This team specializes in the development of robots capable of operating in large workspaces, in both the manufacturing and construction industries. More specifically, as part of the ANR AMATSUMARA national project, RoMaS will focus on the task of pre-welding pointing, on large metal parts, in applications in the shipbuilding and construction industries. The aim is to propose, verify and validate two-arm robotic solutions for this type of task.

Your other activities will include :

• Develop real-time software for execution on EtherCAT systems

• Propose robotic solutions (two arms)

• Develop and validate these solutions on AMATSUMARA project platforms

Technical skills :

• Know how to program in C++/python and ROS

• Know robotics and signal processing

• Know the EtherCAT protocol and environment

• Know written and spoken English

• Propose the most appropriate methodology, taking into account objectives and constraints

Level required : You have a 5-year degree (master or engineer) or a PhD in robotics, industrial computing, embedded systems, real-time systems and ideally have experience in these fields.

• 24-month fixed-term contract

• Open to contract and permanent employees

• Full-time position - based in Nantes

• Travel to be planned (fortnightly in France)

• Work on several sites (with AMATSUMARA project partners)
