Job description:
Based at École Centrale de Nantes, the Nantes Digital Sciences Laboratory (LS2N) is a joint research unit affiliated with the CNRS, with five co-supervising institutions (Nantes University, ECN, CNRS, IMT Atlantique and Inria). The LS2N is located in Nantes across five sites.
We are seeking a Research Engineer specialising in ECG signal processing to develop a software tool for analysing 12-lead ECG recordings, designed to assess eligibility for the implantation of a subcutaneous cardiac defibrillator.
Below are the main responsibilities you will be entrusted with:
Implementing methods for analysing 12-lead ECG images
Contributing to the design of software for the automated processing of 12-lead ECG images
Contribute to the implementation of artificial intelligence-based analysis methods
Draft the software test and validation report
Draft the development guide for the processing software
Draft the technical user manual for the software
Contribute to the implementation of techniques for predicting eligibility for the implantation of a subcutaneous cardiac defibrillator
Job requirements
Technical skills:
Basic understanding of ECG signal analysis methods
Proficiency in automatic classification techniques
Proficiency in deep neural network optimisation methods
Proficiency in Python programming
Organisational skills:
Ability to prioritise different tasks
Deliver usable outputs on time
Adaptability skills:
Ability to adapt to different types of data and ECG signals
Ability to adapt to collaboration in an interdisciplinary context
Interpersonal and social skills:
Ability to work as part of a team
Required qualifications: You must hold a postgraduate qualification (Bac+5). A PhD in biomedical engineering, applied mathematics or a related field would be particularly welcome.
