Job description:
The person recruited will be attached to the Laboratoire de recherche en Hydrodynamique, Energétique et Environnement Atmosphérique (LHEEA) which is a CNRS joint research unit under 2 supervisory bodies: Ecole Centrale de Nantes and CNRS.
As part of the oceanic engineering basin team (fifteen people), your main mission, as part of the JLMT3 project (Joint Laboratory for Marine Technology, Laboratoire Commun Centrale Nantes - Naval Group), will be to take part in the testing of through masts in traction basins, analyze the results and make the most of the tests.
Your activities will include
Prepare through-mast test campaigns: write specifications, choose sensors, place orders, etc.
Training in the measurement methods used for test campaigns.
Participate in and conduct tensile tank tests
Analyze results
Valorize tests in the form of scientific publications
Job requirements
Technical skills :
Mastery of engineering techniques and sciences: hydrodynamics, mechanics, automation, signal processing, metrology, computer programming.
Mastery of techniques in the field: experimental modeling.
Organizational skills :
Ability to work as part of a project team.
Ability to analyze project progress to detect anomalies, anticipate problems and propose solutions
Methodical and rigorous in scheduling and carrying out tasks
Adaptable skills :
General physics and the field of experimentation: ocean engineering, offshore operations (general knowledge)
Combine elements from different technological fields
Relational & social skills:
Strong interaction with project partners
Written and oral presentation skills
Professional environment and networks (general knowledge)
Level required: You have a PhD in ocean engineering, hydrodynamics, naval architecture and offshore from one of the following schools: ENSTA Bretagne, Centrale Nantes, Centrale Marseille Seatech, ...and have between 1 and 5 years' experience.
