Job description:
We are seeking a candidate for a 12-month fixed-term contract to carry out activities related to the development of trajectory generation approaches for the hybrid WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) process. This work will be carried out as part of the MT-ROBOTICS collaborative project, funded by Bpifrance via the ‘France 2030’ plan, which aims to develop a hybrid additive manufacturing machine and its complete digital chain.
Your main tasks will be as follows:
Conducting bibliographic research, monitoring and analysing the state of the art
Developing manufacturing strategies (ranges) and trajectory generation methods for hybrid WAAM manufacturing in the project's CAD/CAM and CNC software environment
Participating in the development and validation of manufacturing parameters (WAAM, robotic machining)
Develop and implement a digital twin of the project-related component in its design/manufacturing environment
Participate in experimental validation on the laboratory's CNC equipment, WAAM process and machining
Modify the geometry (CAD) of components to adapt them to the WAAM process and hybrid manufacturing
Program software tools for data processing, interfacing and CAD/CAM plugins
Analyse, interpret and promote results by writing reports and presenting them at project meetings, team meetings and scientific conferences
Write scientific articles for publication in international journals
