Job description:

The overall objective of this project is to design wind turbines that are more resilient to their environment by incorporating a passive vibration control mechanism. The device under study here is an essentially non-linear vibration absorber

Your main responsibilities will be as follows:

DEVELOPMENT OF A RESEARCH AND/OR INNOVATION PROJECT

  • Preparation of preliminary materials for the work (specifications, bibliography, etc.)

  • Analysis of experimental results or studies

  • Formatting of results for dissemination and exploitation (publications, patents, etc.)

  • Regular updating of knowledge

  • Development of research tools and methodologies

DISSEMINATION AND TRANSFER OF KNOWLEDGE, EXPLOITATION OF RESEARCH RESULTS

  • Dissemination of research results within the scientific community (articles, books, reports, patents, presentations at expert conferences, etc.)

Job requirements

Organisational skills:

  • Task planning

  • Meeting deadlines for deliverables

Technical skills:

  • Analysis of non-linear dynamic systems

  • Analytical and numerical solution methods

Adaptability:

  • Ability to find a solution when faced with a deadlock

Interpersonal & social skills:

  • Teamwork

Required level: You hold a PhD in physics/mechanics

Nature of the role

  • 12-month fixed-term contract – open to contract staff and civil servants

  • Full-time role – based in Nantes

  • Flexible working hours

  • Flexible working arrangements (option to work 4.5 days a week)
