Job description
Centrale Nantes is a prestigious engineering school that awards degrees to engineers, master's students, and doctoral candidates who complete academic programs based on the latest developments in science and technology and best management practices.
As a member of the Écoles Centrales group (Lille, Lyon, Marseille, Nantes, and Paris), our school provides high-quality education to highly selected students.
A public institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, Centrale Nantes has more than 2,250 students, 500 employees, and 600 temporary staff.
In order to design new torque estimation algorithms based on artificial intelligence techniques that go beyond current approaches, the LS2N (Laboratory of Digital Sciences) is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher.
In order to design new torque estimation algorithms based on artificial intelligence techniques that go beyond current approaches, the LS2N (Laboratory of Digital Sciences) is recruiting a postdoctoral researcher.
Below is a list of proposed projects that will be customized according to the thesis topic:
Integration of engine resistance estimation, potentially using artificial intelligence (AI) techniques;
Development of methods based on signal injection and AI for estimating torque at very low speeds, even at a standstill (zero speed), and in energy recovery mode, with associated theoretical research;
Joint use of injection and AI for estimating motor parameters, in particular inductance (L) and, if possible, resistance (R).
In addition, theoretical demonstrations of the stability and robustness of the algorithms will need to be established across the entire operating range of the vehicle.
Expected results:
Valorization: The thesis work will be the subject of patent applications and submissions to international conferences and journals.
