Within École Centrale de Nantes, the Laboratory for Research in Hydrodynamics, Energy, and Atmospheric Environment (LHEEA) comprises 140 members divided into five research teams. The LHEEA is overseen by two governing bodies, École Centrale de Nantes (ECN) and the CNRS, and also collaborates with Centrale Innovation (CI), a subsidiary of ECN.

Job Description:

Within the D2SE team (Decarbonization and Depollution of Energy Systems), you will join the “Test Benches” technical unit, whose work is divided into two parts: one focused on design and fabrication, and the other on the construction and installation of complex assemblies.

Your main tasks will be as follow:

• Manufacturing parts or assemblies using CNC and conventional machine tools

• Designing and producing the tooling required for the manufacture of mechanical parts and assemblies

• Monitoring, receiving, and inspecting assemblies or subassemblies manufactured by subcontractors

• Assembling and commissioning mechanical assemblies, both in the workshop and on-site

• Manage the procurement of tools and raw materials

• Contribute to the development of the department’s technologies

• Train interns in the use of mechanical manufacturing tools and machines.

• Assist with the mechanical maintenance of the laboratory’s tools, machines, and testing equipment.

• Conduct small-scale mechanical engineering studies.

• Mechanics (tolerances, fits, metrology, technical drawing, etc.)

Required level: You hold a BTS, DUT, or BUT degree in mechanical engineering. Entry-level candidates welcome.
