Job description:
As part of a project aimed at developing a digital twin of an operating theatre based on the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM), we are seeking a research engineer specialising in computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
Your main responsibilities will be as follows:
Conducting research in computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Developing computational codes for fluid dynamics
Supervising Master’s students, PhD students and postdoctoral researchers
Monitoring projects
Helping to set up projects
Job requirements
Technical skills:
Fluid mechanics; Numerical methods; CFD methods; Lagrangian particle methods
Algorithms and High-Performance Computing (HPC)
C/C++ or Fortran
Good command of English
Organisational skills:
Be self-reliant and able to work as part of a team
Able to meet project deadlines and produce high-quality deliverables
A sense of responsibility
Awareness of confidentiality and intellectual property issues
Interpersonal and social skills:
Good communication skills
Required qualifications: You must hold at least a Master’s degree in fluid mechanics. You must have at least 3 years’ experience in this field.
