Job description:
As part of research in control systems, you will be required to develop discrete observer and control law schemes, both theoretically and numerically.
Your responsibilities will include:
Developing discrete schemes for non-linear differentiators/controllers – theoretical development and numerical implementation
Applying these to experimental systems (robots, etc.)
Secondary duties and tasks
Organising meetings
Drafting reports as part of the ANR SlimDisc project
Drafting scientific articles (journals, international conferences)
Job requirements
Professional skills:
Ability to work independently
Sense of responsibility (deadlines, deliverables)
Prioritisation of tasks,
Organisational skills,
Ability to work in a team
Ability to report and write scientific articles/communications/reports
Technical skills:
Very good command of control theory (particularly non-linear), explicit/implicit discretisation
Numerical methods, scientific English
Supervisory skills:
Ability to supervise Master’s-level student projects
Interpersonal and social skills:
Ability to work as part of a team on a project.
Required qualifications: You must hold at least a Master’s degree and/or a relevant general engineering degree; a PhD in control engineering would be an advantage.
