Job description:

• Within the training department, we are looking for a design engineer with teaching activity in energy.

• Design practical installations for teaching fluid mechanics and energy: instrumentation, set-up of an acquisition chain, set-up of a regulation system, connection to the various fluid networks, etc.

• Maintain practical equipment: preventive and corrective maintenance, fault analysis, repairs, etc.

• Monitor installation safety and ensure compliance of existing installations, as part of an ongoing quality approach

• Supervise students during practical work sessions in energy-related courses run by the MFE department (first-year generalist engineer, mechanical engineers (A2), civil engineers (A2), marine engineers (A1, A2, A3), M2 MENG-EP, M2 HOE amasone, ENERG, PROPULSION, PHYCITE options, etc.) ;https://www.ec-nantes.fr/version-francaise/formation/les-options-de-2e-et-3e-annee

• Participate in other teaching activities (supervision of option projects, tutored study projects, participation in engineering internship juries and end-of-study work (annual workload: 128h TD equivalent).

• Participate in the definition of teaching models (existing or new courses), in liaison with course leaders.

Technical skills :

• Setting up a measurement chain, instrumentation, labview software

• Troubleshooting and implementation of corrective solutions for practical installations

• Teaching the energy discipline to engineering students: practical aspects, uncertainty calculations, analysis of measurement results, comparison with theory

Organizational skills :

• Self-organization in the conduct of work

• Be aware of the collective organization of the department and the implications of his/her activities on those of colleagues

• Propose the most appropriate methodology, taking into account respective objectives and constraints.

Adaptability :

• Take into account the various changes encountered (changes in legislation, techniques, procedures, environment, etc.).

• Update knowledge and capitalize on experience to adapt to new developments.

• Alert hierarchical superiors to risks, malfunctions or anomalies at the appropriate time, and make suggestions.

Relational & social skills :

• Listen, reformulate requests to identify the nature of the needs and of the interlocutor, and provide an appropriate response.

• Position oneself as an expert, using clear, comprehensible language and adapting to the nature of the interlocutor (fellow teachers and students).

• Encourage colleagues to adopt new ideas by being a driving force behind proposals.

Level required:

You have a bachelor's degree (bac +3) in instrumentation, physical measurement or electronics, and a successful first professional experience in this field.
