Job description:
Within the Applications division of the IT Department, the Training IT Applications Lead is responsible for the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of training management solutions (enrolment, teaching, work placements, casual staff, student mobility, etc.), in collaboration with technical and business teams.
As part of the ‘OnBoard’ team (2 staff members), they contribute to the digital transformation of processes and work closely with the departments using the Training Information System (Training, International Relations, Doctoral School, Finance, HR).
On a day-to-day basis, they ensure the development and reliability of the Training Information System to meet the needs of various users (students, teaching staff, administrative departments).
Your main responsibilities will include:
Providing support and guidance to users (assistance, training, communication, documentation).
Gathering and analysing functional requirements, translating them into specifications consistent with the IT system, and facilitating discussions with business stakeholders and management.
Managing application developments (configuration/development, testing, pre-production validation, version management).
Managing supplier relationships and contracts, and monitoring functional and regulatory developments.
Contribution to IT projects
Participating in the overhaul of the Training IT system: analysis of the existing system, requirements gathering, market benchmarking, and prototyping of solutions.
Short-term priority projects
Conduct an audit of the Training IS functionalities to identify components to be outsourced to third-party tools (HR management of temporary staff, timetables, PhD students, etc.).
Deploy management dashboards for senior management and the management support unit.
Structure and formalise internal IT department documentation.
