Job description:

Within the Ecole Centrale de Nantes, the Nantes Digital Sciences Laboratory (LS2N) is a joint research unit affiliated with the CNRS, which has five co-supervisors (Nantes University, ECN, CNRS, IMT Atlantique, Inria). The LS2N is located in Nantes at five geographical sites.

We are looking for an ECG signal processing research engineer on a 10 month fixed-term contract to test eligibility for the implantation of a subcutaneous cardiac defibrillator.

Your activities will include:

  • Developing methods for analysing 12D ECG signals

  • Implement techniques for predicting eligibility for subcutaneous cardiac defibrillator implantation

  • Contribute to the implementation of artificial intelligence inference methods

  • Write scientific publications

  • Participate in international conferences

  • Contribute to the drafting of research project activity reports

Job requirements

Technical skills:

  • Knowledge of ECG signal analysis methods

  • Proficiency in automatic classification techniques

  • Proficiency in deep neural network optimisation methods

  • Proficiency in Python programming

Organisational skills:

  • Ability to prioritise different tasks

  • Deliver usable results on time

Adaptability skills:

  • Adapt to different types of data and ECG signals

  • Adapt to exchanges in an interdisciplinary context

Interpersonal and social skills:

  • Ability to work in a team

Required qualifications: You hold an engineering degree or PhD in signal processing, biomedical engineering and/or applied mathematics and have initial successful experience in this field.

Working conditions:

  • 10-month fixed-term contract

  • Open to contract workers and civil servants

  • Full-time position – based in Nantes
